Matt and Caryn returned home from their residents in the UK to celebrate their wedding with their close family and friends. They chose the beautiful and quaint Cranford Country House in the Midlands as the perfect place to tie the knot. We assisted with some little bits and pieces here and there to help add a bit of unique glamour with a vintage feel to their special day.
At the entrance to the chapel we made two little hand-painted shabby-chic wooden signs which encouraged guests on arrival to relax and become part of the family and sit anywhere they wished…
After the ceremony guests made their way to the beautiful lapa where bottles hung from the ceiling, lemonade was served from a self-service drink dispenser and the vintage bath was pilled high with ice and drinks.
We also set-up a quaint chill area outside in the gardens with some vintage furniture, ball and claw table and hanging chandelier.
Two white shabby-chic wooden ladders held the gorgeous name cards with table allocations which looked gorgeous under the big oak tree.
The reception decor area was a heaven of hand-made gorgeousness and everything was kept simple yet unique in a sea of gold, pale yellow, cream and peach. Caryn and her bridesmaids and family helped with collecting glass vases and tins and spraying some gold. The flowers were chosen and ordered by Caryn herself and everyone got stuck in on the day to create loose yet pretty floral arrangements of varying size and type on each table. We just love the old label type place cards made by the bride and the lace and burlap table cloths.
We helped with a hand-made ribbon backdrop to be used behind the main table. We used a variety of gold, white, cream and pale peach material strips to create a stunning backdrop for the main table where the Caryn and Matt would spend their evening.
There was also a photo booth set-up in the reception area and our blackboards showed the way plus vintage suitcases stored the props. We also adore our vintage school desk which was where guests were encouraged to sit down and leave a note for the Caryn & Matt.
All in all it was a truly beautiful wedding on a perfect summers day celebrating the union of two beautiful people. We loved having some of our quaint and quirky vintage decor on show and wish Caryn and Matt oodles of love and luck for the future.
