Sean & Candice Tie the Knot… Netherwood – 13th July 2013
Sometimes keeping things simple is the best way to get under-stated elegance, charm and beauty on your wedding day. Candice & Sean from Johannesburg chose the gorgeous and spacious Netherwood in the midlands for their special day and we careful not to ‘over-do-it’ on decor and flowers. Candice loved the gorgeous African Aloes (which are currently flowering bright crimson petals all over the area) and juicy succulents and chose these as her main decor pieces. Her key colours for the special occasion were a simple combination of black and white.
For her bridal bouquet we chose a selection of white florals and paired these together with dove grey and pale lavender coloured succulents. Plus some unique and interesting varieties of fynbos. The bridesmaids had smaller poesies of similar flowers but with white wax flowers and finger-like succulents used as foliage. All the bouquets were tied with a hesian wrap, white lace and black ribbon.
For the reception we used a selection of green aloes placed high in large clear cylindrical vases as the centrepieces with their roots exposed and dangling. Silver charger plates paired well with crisp white linen for the tables. Candice designed and printed the menu on a paper napkin holder in black and white which looked great! Together with our large silver Roman Numerical Table Numbers – an air of elegance and sophistication was created. Candice gave each of her guests a consol glass to take home and these served as lighting for the tables with floating candles and water in them. The main table included succulents in large silver rose bowls plus a card table with crate and suitcase.
