What a dream! A private intimate secret wedding in the mountains.
Our lovely couple surprised their families with their special day. Picked up by a chauffeur & dropped off in the Kamberg Mountains some 500kms away. A weekend away at Qambathi Mountain Lodge – with all the bells and whistles & a wedding!
Blues, White & Glass – Poppies, Panda Anemones, Peonies & Hydrangeas – Just some to name a few, Gorgeous flowers for days <3
with no exceptions… Only the best for his bride
This happy couple exchanged wedding vows in a secluded forest ceremony on the deck with beautiful full floral arch & ‘growing garden’ aisle arrangements, followed by a what-dreams-are-made-of reception – we just loved transforming the already stunning reception area at this boutique hotel, into a enchanted forest with a lush foliage canopy & stunning crystal chandeliers.

Sneak Peak: Simplistic yet whimsical – South African meets Scottish.
Glass, rose gold & geometric elements teamed together with burgundy, navy & purple hues for a stunning art decor finish.
A special request for white St Joseph lilies in memory of the brides mum, which brought in a beautifully personal touch & extra pop of elegance to the reception.
This all came together so nicely with the Scottish thistle & locally sourced Niobe Proteas for the South African touch.
We really loved working with Kelsey & Stuart, thank you for trusting us to make your wedding day extra special.

Our autumnal style shoot embraced the deep hues and colours of the changes of the season.
Deep earthy tones of yellows, ochres, burnt orange and deep reds. It was a true celebration of everything that comes with the bright rich falling leaves of Autumn. The styled shoot concept was designed by Natural Nostalgia, who used the seasonal tones to create the abundant floral pieces for the arch, table arrangement & bridal bouquet with a variety of textures – dried grasses, seed pods, floras, fruit and the odd pumpkin for a playful and bold harvest look. The décor was natural with a raw wooden table and woven grass and stone plate settings. The napkins, glasses and candle-holders in stunning amber mixed with gold cutlery and some table grapefruit to finish off the look.
The shoot took place at the stunning Corrie-Lynn 1882, nested in a nostalgic ethereal setting that made it easy to capture the feel of the season & its changes. The venue boasts numerous vintage corrugated barns with creeping red leaved vines. Abound were a mass of autumn leafed trees all turning with the season making this the perfect place to shoot.
The brides beautiful dress was designed by Hanrie Lues and it too mimicked the season with tones of nude, champagne, gold & ivory with an open-back, illusion detailed neckline and gorgeous soft whimsical tulle skirt. Hitched Hair and Makeup worked their magic on our lovely couple with the most wonderful boho-inspired fish-tail plait and sheer, bright and natural looking makeup.
Other highlights of this shoot include the golden, two-tiered cake by Taan at Sugar Artistry incorporated a stone feel & the seasonally toned sugar flowers. Taan is a master at making the most perfect and realistic looking sugar flowers and foliage – can you believe this entire cake is made of sugar??? The stationery by Indigo & Ivory highlights an elegant layout with an edgy colour palette and clean, minimalist and modern feels. Artesense also provided the most gorgeous macramé pieces that finished off the arch with grace for an eclectic boho feel.
Behind the camera & making it look so easy, the incredible Tarryn from African Bear Photography captured the concept & scene in an incredible way. Her attention to detail was ace!
Thanks to our model husband & wife couple Dylan & Taylor who work so well together & really made this styled shoot feel so very real. They celebrated their wedding anniversary on the same day of the shoot and gave us all the feels!
