Tyron & Jaclyn tie the knot – 23 March 2013
When I first decided to set-up my business offering vintage decor rentals and styling assistance, Jaclyn was one of my first brides who was interested. I loved her relaxed approach to her wedding day and she envisioned a beautiful, charming and informal picnic setting. The perfect place for her and Tyron to tie the knot surrounded by her nearest and dearest on picnic blankets and hay bales spread out on the garden lawns. Jaclyn chose Eagle Winds Manor – a quaint B&B now offering their lovely house and sprawling gardens for weddings.
The main color theme was black and white and this included stripes, damask and polka dots. This mixed with quirky and quaint vintage decor items gave an eclectic feel but in a modern and fresh way. Also a major element were little birds and Jaclyn had sewn adorable felt birds for buttonieres for both the bridal party and the grooms men. The bridesmaids each held gorgeous paper flowers also made by Jaclyn.
We created this lovely welcome sign which was a perfect match for the vintage rustic feel that Jaclyn and Tyron were looking for.
Let’s start with the lovely ceremony which had hay bales for seating with black and white printed cloths. Our favourite item we created was the cream vintage door with covered supports which was used for the ceremony backdrop. It really came out beautifully and added to the whimsical charm of Jaclyn and Tyron’s special day. Plus streamers for the aisle decor lining the hedge…
We assisted with creating a gorgeous drinks area with our vintage ball and claw bath dotted around with wooden crates filled with jam jars and decor. Plus self-service drink dispensers filled with Jax’s and Tyron’s favourite drinks. Cute vintage milk buckets and tins were scattered around holding a variety of drinks for guests to help themselves to.
Guests then were treated to a sit down picnic with comfy and beautifully decorated cushions (done by Jax herself) and enjoyed picnic baskets filled with yummy treats. We also just love the hay bale couch for the new Mr and Mrs! How fun!
An of course a delightful and indulgent sweets table made sure everyone’s sweet tooth was satisfied with brownies, macaroons, cake pops, sweets and the gorgeous vanilla cake with cute cake toppers.
As the sun set and party began to pick up the music started to play and the fire pits were lit with fire wood – making it the perfect ending to their whimsical and relaxed picnic wedding. We now wish Tyron and Jax the most beautiful and wonderfully romantic honeymoon as they spend a week in Thailand. Lots of love and blessings xx
